Sorry for not posting so long...
Wanqi reminded me that my blog is dying...
Been kind of busy...
Today,
I shall write about my class.
Because there's seriously nothing to write about.
Here we go.
Going in index number order...
Short and sweet...

Amelia:
Amelia...
She's apparently emo...
She likes Linkin' Park,
black,
and is the History Rep.
She's in Photographic Society,
so during special occasions,
she,
Zheng Wei (another guy from Photographic Society),
and some others will go and take photos of it for the yearbook.
Cool,
right?

Liqing:
Liqing is very funny.
She is very nice and a good friend...
Very responsible.
And she is hardworking too.
Also,
she is in Dance CCA.
She's the only person in 107 in Dance,
so we might see her performing some time soon!
She also did the props for the Scarlet Ah Beng,
a school play for Art Week 2008.
She did the props really well for the show,
they turned out great!

Daryl:
Daryl is...
Zheng Wei's best friend in class.
He's one of the many people in Badminton CCA.
He likes green,
and is really smart.
He got full marks for the previous test!
Amazing.
Yet another Maths genius in my class.
He also loves the Rubik's Cube,
thanks to the influence of Zheng Wei.

Ian:
Ian is a Maths genius.
He accelerated in Maths!
And sometimes he spends almost half his break writing Maths equations on the board.
All of which only people who are 15 and above or Maths geniuses can understand.

Hemanathan:
Hema.
He loves screaming and shouting in class,
being really lame and laughing at his own jokes.
I seriously don't know what to say about him.
He's just...
Ugh.
Extreme vocal cords and an irritating face is just pure creepiness.

Ian:
In case you're wondering,
this Ian is not the other Ian.
This one is not taking accelerated Maths,
but it quite good at the subject.
He is very quiet in class,
but is very hardworking,
and is very smart too.
He is a major MapleStory fan,
a bit like myself.

Jimmy:
Jimmy...
Very quiet in class,
he just sits in class,
listens and smiles.
Ms Lee,
our new Maths teacher,
once said that he looks like Buddha,
because he is very calm and quiet,
when we were all shouting and screaming around,
and just sits there quietly smiling,
looking contently at the world.
Haha.

Jia Min:
Can you believe there's another Jia Min who happens to be a Lim also in M08204?
Jia Min is kind of sad that he has a girl's name,
and I think it's...
normal.
Since his Jia Min is 家民 instead of 嘉敏 in Chinese.
Jia Min is a fan of Linkin' Park too,
just like Amelia.

Jun Wei:
Jun Wei is very quiet also...
But he can run very,
very,
very fast.
He should be on the track team or something.
He's also quite smart,
which is kind of expected if we're in this school.
I'm not bragging.

Lim Pin:
Lim Pin!
He had dark-orange hair when school started.
Now it's a slightly dark shade of brown.
He sits next to me in class,
so i know a bit more about him.
He confiscates my phone in class because I occasionally use it to take videos or pictures of hilarious moments in class.
Haha.

Wanqi:
Our female mentor rep...
Take note that her name is written "Wanqi" not "Wan Qi"...
It's joined.
She is very...
Let's see.
Responsible (I don't think she has ever handed in late work),
smart (again),
and is a mass "xiangwai"-er,
which means "think sick" in Chinese.
She likes light blue and doesn't really listen to music.
Wanqi is Shree's best friend in class,
and she has recently found out how to fix the Rubik's Cube,
which I will never learn.
People are starting to get addicted to it now.
I simply cannot believe why they are so amazed by it.

Wei Jie:
It's hard to talk about this guy...
Because he has problems talking in the first place.
He's always getting teased by Yong Jen and Raphael for having a big butt.
Wei Jie loves showing off his Chinese Chess skills.
During orientation week,
he was asking practically all 900 students in NUS High to play Chinese Chess with him.
I think everyone got pissed off with him.
I know I am.

Bradley:
Bradley is part Chinese,
part Portuguese (I think),
and there's still some parts I don't really know yet.
He's a wisecrack in class,
and knows a lot about History,
especially about the communists and all.
He's also the Chemistry Rep.

Ryan:
It's painful writing this.
Ryan is noisy in class (especially in Science lessons),
screams a lot,
always thinks he's right and can never accept the fact that he's wrong.
I managed to get a video of him screaming and shouting in class the other day because of a wrongly-written History assignment,
which wasn't even due on that day!
Ugh.
Moving on!

Pradeep:
Ah.
Our male mentor rep.
He wrote the script for the Scarlet Ah Beng.
He has a Sudoku Rubik's Cube,
which is practically two games at once.
He has a PDA which is really cool.
The buttons (the numbers and letters part)
can be removed entirely from it,
revealing the other buttons inside.
It works on a stylus also,
so it's like my Viewty crossed with a graphing calculator.
But it's too chunky for my style.
I'm better off with my Viewty.

Shree:
Shree...
Hilarious.
She acted with me in the Scarlet Ah Beng.
I shouldn't say more at this point.
People like Wanqi and Yong Jen will do something which I hate.
Shree likes green,
lemurs and thinks Kelly Clarkson sounds like Whitney Houston.
She gives off a severe snowstorm off from her head and shoulders,
too.
You might have gotten it.
If you didn't,
don't think about it.

Raphael:
Now here's one person I must elaborate on.
He loves saying "Yau Xiu",
which means "die early" in dialect.
He also likes singing the song "一人一半" from the movie 881 really loudly during breaks.
He also loves making fun of Wei Jie's butt size.
He comes up with the most idiotic phrases you can think of.
Like for example,
"You crumbling turd",
"You termite-infested woodblock",
"You marauding chimpanzee",
and lots of other wacky things.
He loves swearing in dialect,
talking in dialect and probably dreaming in dialect.
Haha.

Russell:
Wanted to find out more about me,
eh?
Well,
too bad!

Jia Wei:
I don't know much about her...
So,
basically,
Jia Wei likes reading Chinese books,
manga but not anime,
and her best friend in class is probably...
Vivian.

Kakeng:
Kakeng is generally quiet...
He is the Biology Rep.
Only when Ryan starts screaming and shouting in class,
then he will start attempting to shut him up.
Which is a really noisy situation.
But Kakeng is generally not bad.

Zheng Wei:
He has a sister in our school named Shini.
Zheng Wei is in Photographic Society with Amelia.
Photographic Society is seriously cool.
The more I think about it,
the cooler it seems.
Zheng Wei sits at the back of the class...
In the area on the other side of class from me.
He's Daryl's best friend in class,
and is in charge of the Table Arrangement Committee in class.

Yong Jen:
Probably one of the sickest boys on Earth.
He can talk and talk about disgusting stuff for hours.
You can only imagine how sick he is.
He calls some netball girls "armpit smellers",
for some strange reason.
He has affected Zhi Yao with his constant sickness.
And he does not like Liqing just because she gesticulates (fancy word for moving one's arms when one is talking) a lot.

Vivian:
She loves anime,
Death Note,
the colourful Mini Chocs which I totally hate.
I like the mint flavoured ones.
But the supposedly assorted ones are all the same flavour but with different colours.
It tastes like rotting bubblegum.
Anyway,
she's from RGPS,
the same primary school as Jia Wei.
I don't know much about Vivian neither!
I need to know my classmates better.

Zhi Yao:
We love calling him Alice.
Thanks to me.
Another magnificent deed done by me.
You see...
In Primary 5,
Zhi Yao was always daydreaming and our teacher,
another Ms Lee,
called him Alic in Wonderland,
which we shortened to Alice.
Haha.

Our New Math Teacher.

A new Math teacher.
Why?
I have no idea.
Ms Chew was a great Math teacher.
So here comes the new teacher.
She actually thinks that we're in primary school or something.
She loves repeating what she has explained in every single question,
at least 10 times each.
I would have counted but was too irritated to do anything but figure out some stuff with my calculator.
I learnt that any number divided by 7 that is not a multiple of 7 gives out an irrational number.
And,
she thinks we do not know what algebra is.
I think primary school students would be so amazed by her warped thinking,
they would just stare and drool at this alien from outer space.
Which 13 year-old doesn't know what algebra is?
It's going to be a long term after the holidays.

Oh well.
Life is full of ups and downs.
It's just that I have more downs in my life than ups.

American Idol

Hi everyone...
I was watching American Idol last week and I thought Amanda Overmyer was super cool.
Her hair was like,
super cool!
She is one of the best rockers on earth.
I didn't even know that the song she sang,
"Carry On My Wayward Son",
even existed.
I love it now!
So I'm currently listening to her on americanidol.com.
This is my sixth time repeating her song.
I think I'll set a record or something.
But I don't think she'll win.
Nobody appreciates rock anymore.
It's pretty sad.
You people should listen to her more.
The best part about her is her hair.
It's cool!
Sure,
she looks old,
but she rocks!
In both ways.

Anyway,
I'm watching S-Pop 万岁 now.

Haircut and More...

Hi again...
Breaking news!
I got a Viewty today!
If you have no idea what a Viewty is,
its a phone with a 5.0 megapixel camera,
a touchscreen,
only three buttons due to the fact that it has a touchscreen,
and lots of coolness!
So,
we went to Causeway Point today,
and I just decided to get a new phone.
When I finally decided I wanted a Viewty,
the person that handed me the phone was like,
plucking the phone apart when she wanted to put in the SIM card.
I was so pissed off.
Then I got my Viewty.
Glory and magnificence.
The novelty will wear off soon enough.
That is,
when a new fancy phone like the Viewty is invented.

Anyway,
I have realised something.
My parents have a new hobby.
Staring at my blog.
And reading my friend's blogs.
Just so they can find out what I've been doing in school.
Can't they just ask?
Apparently not.
They just have to make sure I am caught by surprise when they expose my dark deeds.
Not that I have done any.
So now I've got to write safely.
Really really safely.
Ugh.
I'm so pissed off with my parents.
Now I'm just going to hope they aren't so nosy in the future.
I bet you're thinking that I'm the unluckiest boy in the world,
having this type of parents.
I would curse,

Apart from unhappy matters,
I got a haircut.
It looks...
Simple.
I was just so free and thought my hair was really long.
So half my hair is gone.
Unfortunately there's more unhappiness.
My hair was chopped away by this idiotic woman who loved talking to a random woman who came in.
And her voice was horrendous.
I had to bear with that for 20 minutes.
"How's your daughter?"
"What school is she in?"
"You rented your house out?"
"To who?"
Ugh.

So,
today was good and bad.
More bad stuff than good stuff,
though.
But the good stuff is worth more than the bad stuff!
I've found a silver lining.

Biology

Yes!
I got a 32.5 out of 41 for my Bio Practicals...
One of the highest in class...
All the Taupok members got 30 and above!
Highest was Amelia,
she got a 35.
I was so happy when Ms Ng announced that I got 32.5,
some people probably thought I was showing off.
And there was a Bio quiz.
I got 13.5.
Jia Wei,
Lim Pin and me all got the same score.
And we all sit at the same table.

Apart from that...
Today was...
Boring.
We had a Chinese reflection on a newspaper article on the Edison Chen scandal.
Only Jia Wei and Ian Yeo didn't speak up...
The lesson ended before they could say anything.
Lucky them.

Swimming...
It was pretty normal.
We went to the deep pool today.
I don't know why they call it that.
It's barely 1.4 metres deep.

I'm getting horrendously bored here...
Hmm...
I've got to entertain myself somehow.

Now I have to get a new CBox,
re-link everyone,
redo my profile and do up this skin to make it better.
That's a lot to do.

my parents are finally going to get me a new phone.
Now the problem is,

This stinks.

I'm bored.

We've got to interview my grandfather for our History project.

I took 2 hours to find that skin and he copied it.
I can't believe it.

it's not the best thing in the world.
I'm in the Beginner's Course,
which is very fun.
I tried out the higher course,
and it was so serious and boring.

I'm a lousy swimmer.

Anyway,
I'm typing this in the Computer Lab.
Again.
During Break.

So I'm rushing to type this out.
And Taupok has to find an interviewee for our History project.
so we're rushing to get one.

Yesterday and Today

Good morning...
I'm typing this halfway through Break...
So I can't type too much.
Valentine's Day yesterday was...
Cute.
There were song dedications and al that stuff.
They even had a delivery system to send chocs and roses...
Haha...
I found these half-hearts all around the school that said,
"1a", "2a"," "3a",
so on and so forth.
Must be for some random stuff and they're going to give out prizes for the person who finds them all...
I can't say I loved yesterday,
but I definitely cannot say I hated it.
It was cool.
To some extent.

Anyway,
the History project I mentioned earlier?
I'm almost done.
I just have to add in animation to the powerpoint,
a few tweaks here and there,
fix up the grammar and we'll be all done.

Unfortunately,
I have to leave.

Hi everyone...
My name's Russell Marino Soh,
I'm born on 23rd July 1995,
I'm studying at NUS High School of Maths and Science,
and I'm in a group named Taupok.
Don't worry,
I'll explain what Taupok is soon.
By the way,

Anyway,

So I have to get a gift for our mentor.
I'm thinking about what to get her right now.
Nevermind...

Now,
Taupok!!
So I'm in a group in class called Taupok,
and like,
we're the one of the two groups that haven't changed their name.
The other group is called Err...
The others were Donut and Papaya,
but they changed to Cow and Bio Please.
Bio Please was just to make it sound more Bio-related.
Because we had to use the groups for both Bio and History.
There are different members in Bio-Taupok and History-Taupok,
and now we have a History project where we also call ourselves Taupok but there are,
once again,
different members.
So,
the members for Bio-Taupok are:
Wanqi,
Me,
Shree,
Bradley,
Hemanathan,
Jia Wei and Raphael.

For History-Taupok,
the members are:
Wanqi,
Me,
Shree,
Bradley,
Jia Wei and Raphael.
So basically the only difference between Bio-Taupok and History-Taupok is that there is Hemanathan in Bio-Taupok.

And finally,
History Project-Taupok:
Shree,
Raphael,
Me,
Jia Wei and Ka Keng.
So it's 80% original Taupok members.
